Carmody Rowing would like to congratulate Newcastle Grammar School and Gordon Cameron on their outstanding success in the sport.
In the three years Gordon Cameron has been Director of Rowing at Newcastle Grammar School, they have won 39 NSW State Championships and 21 of these were in Carmody Racing Boats. The school has also medalled at the three Australian Championships during that time, winning 2 Gold, 2 Silver and a Bronze Medal – the two Silver and a Gold were in Carmody Coxed Quad Sculling Boats.
The latest results at the 2009 Australian Championships included a Silver in the Australian Schoolboy Coxed Quad Sculls and a Gold (and the fastest ever time) in the Men’s U17 Coxed Quad Sculls. Both crews raced in the first ever full-carbon Coxed Quad manufactured by Carmody Rowing.
On a personal note, Mr. Cameron, a coach of over thirty years experience, stated that “Carmody Racing Boats represent the best value for money racing shells made in Australia”.

The photographs below show the 2009 Australian Champions and fastest ever Men’s U17 Coxed Quad Scull from Newcastle Grammar School – winners in Carmody’s first full-carbon boat.
